Trinity Episcopal Parish to offer Recovery from Addiction Service

Trinity Episcopal ParishClarksville, TN – Trinity Episcopal Church welcomes everyone to their fifth Sunday initiative, Trinity’s Love in Action. Each fifth Sunday, Trinity’s 10:00am service reaches out to the community by highlighting a ministry and providing a service as we work and worship either off-site or on-site.

This Sunday, December 29th, 10:00am, Trinity Episcopal will be focusing on Recovery from Addiction.

The Recovery from Addiction service is especially designed to welcome and support those who have been touched by addiction.

12 Step and other addiction recovery program participants are invited, as well as everyone who loves and supports them. Trinity has hosted Narcotics Anonymous for over 20 years, and these friends of the parish inspired this effort. Trinity embraces all people, and leaves no one out.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County community is invited to join us as we walk the talk December 29th, 10:00am. We will meet at Trinity Episcopal Church, 317 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN.

Everyone is invited to come as you are, worship together, and strengthen each other in our resolve to live a clean and sober life as we enter a new year. The Rev. Rebecca Brooks, who is a member of the 12 step recovery program herself, will be preaching.

Rev. Meghan Ryan rector of Trinity Episcopal Church says “The purpose of Christian worship is not only to provide comfort, but to provide strength. We are offering an opportunity for folks to encounter a “Higher Power” in a new way – through a sacramental worship service that speaks the language of the 12 Steps. Practically everyone has been touched by addiction in some way. Our family members, coworkers, and even those that sit next to us in church every Sunday, may be seeking a fresh start for the new year. I hope this service will provide strength and comfort for all our daily fresh starts. All are welcome, no matter their walk.”
