Hilldale Kiwanis Club of Clarksville to hold Hilldale Kiwanis Half-K, April 4th

Hilldale Kiwanis of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – On April 4th, 2020, the Hilldale Kiwanis Club of Clarksville, the organization dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time, is hosting the Hilldale Kiwanis Half-K at 8:00am in Downtown Clarksville.

The cost of registration is $25.00 and all revenue will go toward supporting local service projects as well as efforts of Love On Wheels in Montgomery County.

Love On Wheels is a non-profit organization that provides new suitcases filled with basic necessities for children entering the foster care system. Their goal is to provide stability and a stronger sense of self-worth to children in crisis as they transition into a new home.

The Fun Run for The Rest of Us is only 0.5K long. It starts in the public square, goes up the hill on Main Street and ends with the finish line in the Downtown Commons.

“We hope everyone comes out to have fun. It’s really designed to be a spoof on the more serious 5k, 10k and marathons. We’ll have family friendly vendors, a food truck and every participant receives a race tee and an oval 0.5K race sticker. Everyone Wins! It really IS ‘The Fun Run for The Rest of Us’” said Hilldale Kiwanis of Clarksville race committee chair, Jym Brittain. He jokingly adds, “Come out to conquer the hill and help kids.”

Registration opens February 1st by going online at www.hilldalekiwanisclarksville.org. Opportunities to volunteer will be made available online then as well.
