Clarksville, TN – Gary Lee Beckner age 78, of Erin, TN, passed away November 22nd, 2025 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Clarksville, TN.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Henley officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors in Lewis Cemetery.
The Beckner family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00am until the hour of service Friday at noon.
Gary entered this life on March 15th, 1947 in Colby, Kansas, son to the late Cecil Beckner and Wilma Helin Beckner. Gary faithfully served his country in the United States Army where he retired as SFC after a fruitful career. Following his retirement, Gary enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting; he was also an avid antique car collector. Through all of his personal and professional accomplishments, his greatest achievement was being a wonderful husband, and father; he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Christa Beckner; children, Steve (Mary) Beckner, Kristian Lee (Salhee) Beckner; sister, Joyce Matzke; sister-in-law, Irma Dean; grandchild, Griffin Beckner; and special family friend, Frank Downing.
