Clarksville Christian Adds Chase Griffin to Football Coaching Staff

Clarksville Christian SchoolClarksville, TN – Clarksville Christian School (CCS) has announced the addition of Chase Griffin to its inaugural football coaching staff, where he will serve as the program’s Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Griffin brings more than a decade of experience in strength, performance, movement, and exercise therapy to the new program. He is the owner and coach of Grif-Fit in Clarksville and has spent the past 12 years working with athletes and adults across a wide range of ages and ability levels. His experience also includes training Major League Baseball players and a semiprofessional football player.

Coach Griffin is also already familiar with CCS. For the past three years, he has worked with CCS athletes across a variety of sports, helping them develop the physical strength and movement skills needed to compete at their best.

He holds certifications in Personal Training, Exercise Therapy, and Strength and Conditioning through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), along with additional education in rehabilitation, weightlifting, low back pain, and speed, agility, and strength development. His background in exercise therapy and experience working alongside a chiropractor have further shaped his emphasis on movement quality, proper technique, and individualized progression.

As Strength & Conditioning Coach, Griffin will help CCS football players develop the strength, power, stability, mobility, and training habits needed to prepare for the demands of the game. His work will complement the speed and agility training led by Coach Mo Thompson, who was recently announced as the first coaching hire in CCS Football history.

“Grif brings something very important to the development of our football program,” said CCS Athletic Director Jason Shelton. “Our athletes need more than just speed and agility. They need to understand how to train, how to build strength, and how to prepare their bodies to perform and stay healthy. His experience and familiarity with our athletes make him a great fit for this role.”

The addition of Griffin continues the school’s efforts to build its football program well before the team takes the field. CCS recently announced a partnership with Austin Peay State University that will make Fortera Stadium available for Centurion home football games beginning in Fall 2027.

“With Coach Thompson focused on speed and agility and Coach Griffin leading strength and conditioning, we’re putting together the pieces that will help our athletes become physically prepared when the time arrives for them to compete,” said CCS President Dr. Brad Moser. “We are being intentional about building this program from the ground up, and that starts with the people we bring alongside our students. Chase knows our student-athletes, understands our culture, and brings tremendous experience to this role.”

“The first game is still ahead of us, but the work to prepare for that day is already underway,” Shelton said. “We are excited to have Coach Chase Griffin as part of that process and look forward to seeing the impact he will have as this program takes shape.”
