Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators evened their playoff series against the Dallas Stars tonight with an exciting, overtime win, 2-1. Craig Smith drove the dagger in the heart of the Stars with his overtime winner.
Dallas won the series opener on Wednesday night, 3-2, to set the tone for a hard fought series between two teams that absolutely do not like each other.
These are also the two teams that will be featured in the upcoming Winter Classic at the Cotton Bowl on New Years Eve.
Clarksville, TN – The National Hockey League is racing to the finish line of their regular season schedule. The “second” season begins next week with the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Nashville Predators have a spot in those playoffs, yet as of this writing, we don’t know who or where they will play. It doesn’t matter, because Predators fans are RABID about their team even though their play of late hasn’t been too consistent.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators fell to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 2-1 in a Bridgestone Arena shoot-out, with Sidney Crosby proving to be the difference.
The Predators were pedaling uphill all night long chasing the game after a whirlwind start where they attacked the Pens in the opening frame of the contest. Once again, the story of their season so far, they have no power play.
The two teams traded punches during the first period with plenty of opportunities for both teams, but both Pekka Rinne and Matt Murray stood tall in net for their respective teams to keep the game scoreless.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators had their way with the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs tonight, pitching a shutout, 3-0. Newly acquired forward Wayne Simmonds scored his first goal as a Predator and Pekka Rinne stood tall in net, as Nashville shutout the Leafs for the second time this season.
Brian Boyle got things started for Nashville at 4:47 of the first period when he and Craig Smith pulled off the classic “give and go” to perfection, ripping the puck past Toronto goalie, Frederik Andersen for the early 1-0 lead.
Nashville would take that lead into the first intermission.
Nashville, Tn — The Nashville Predators just can’t seem to find a way to fight their way through the hurricane. The Carolina Hurricanes. They’ve now lost 10 of 13 meetings against the team, losing at home tonight, 5-3.
With some momentum coming from back to back wins against the Minnesota Wild, the Predators had confidence heading into tonight’s contest, but the news that Filip Forsberg would not be in the line-up may have deflated that confidence.
Forsberg is listed day to day with an upper body issue and the timeline for his return has not been determined.
Nashville, TN -The Nashville Predators had an old fashioned street brawl tonight against some former teammates and the rest of the Minnesota Wild, but in the end, they stood victorious with the 5-4 win.
Former Predator Kevin Fiala, who was briefly honored during the first period of tonight’s game, quickly became the villain after scoring two goals on the night. But the Smashville “love” quickly became boos when he got caught up in some fisticuffs with former teammate Filip Forsberg and Ryan Johansen.
Nashville, TN – As the trade deadline loomed heavy on this day, just hours from being over for this NHL season, enter David Poile, the General Manager for this Nashville Predators franchise.
Just in the last two weeks, he traded for Brian Boyle and Cody Mcleod, two hard hitting players whose roles would be to protect our stars and score when you can.
Nashville was excited to have Mcleod back in Nashville, A very popular player when he was on the roster before, the music city hockey fans loved having him back.

In front of country superstar Garth Brooks and hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and a fired up Smashville crowd, the Predators did what they had to do and that was fight to the end.
On a day that saw Nashville trade away Kevin Fiala and Ryan Hartman, for the services of Wayne Simmons and Mikael Granlund, the Predators are now set for a Stanley Cup playoff run.
Dallas, TX – The Nashville Predators defeated the Dallas Stars in a highly entertaining game tonight 5-3. Pekka Rinne stood tall in net for the Predators to keep Nashville in this one, giving the boys a chance to win it.
The Predators win the season series against the Stars with the win tonight, in what many feel will be a first round matchup for the Stanley Cup playoffs. The two teams have already been announced as the feature of the Winter Classic.
Brian Boyle continues to show why the Predators made a trade for him just a couple of weeks ago as he lit the lamp first for the Predators at 10:50 of the opening frame. It was Boyle’s second goal for the Predators since joining the team and got Nashville the early lead, 1-0.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators finally righted the ship with a 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
Newly acquired big man Brian Boyle scored his first goal as a Predator and Viktor Arvidsson added to his torrid scoring streak for the victory.
Arvidsson scored his 24th goal of the season tonight, a remarkable feat considering he was injured and didn’t return to the lineup until New Years Eve. Nashville wrapped up a three game home stand and snapped a three game losing streak tonight with the win.
