Nashville, TN – Nashville Sounds outfielder Jaycob Brugman has been named Pacific Coast League Player of the Week for his performance from June 6th-12th, the league announced today.
The 24-year-old hit .467 (14-for-30) with 12 RBI, 9 runs scored, 7 doubles and 2 home runs to help the Sounds go 5-2 over the last week.
Brugman had four multi-hit games, four multi-RBI games and delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the ninth inning of yesterday’s 7-4 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Clarksville, TN – Senior Marco Iten will represent Austin Peay State University men’s golf team at the NCAA Men’s Golf Tournament Auburn Regional, May 15th-17th, at the Auburn University Club.
The 2014 Ohio Valley Conference Individual Medalist, Iten is the fourth Gov to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament as an individual and the third since 2008, joining Grant Leaver (2008) and Anthony Bradley (2012).
Atlanta, GA – James “Boots” Donnelly, the only coach to lead Austin Peay State University football to an Ohio Valley Conference championship was inducted into the 2013 National Football Foundation (NFF) Division College Hall of Fame, Wednesday night.
The enshrinement ceremony was held at Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta. It was the first time the event was held in Atlanta, the new home of the Hall of Fame.

The six-game, round-robin tournament will feature APSU vs, Creighton, Milwaukee and University of Arkansas-Little Rock(UALR) with two games scheduled each day. It will be the first time Austin Peay has met Creighton and UALR on the baseball diamond, while Milwaukee returns for the 19th meeting in the series after a one-year hiatus.
