At 1:18pm CT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles southeast of Clarksville to 10 miles north of Dickson. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. 101st Airborne Division celebrates its 2018 Day of the EaglesWritten by Sgt. Sharifa Newton
The 101st Airborne Division hosted the 2018 Day of the Eagles, May 24th, here and presented this division with another opportunity to remember those who have passed and strengthen the bonds of those still here. Day of the Eagles was open to the veterans, family members and surrounding community members. The celebration included: a division run, Best Air Assault Soldier competition, museum open house, lunch with Soldiers, Sabalauski Air Assault School tour with rappel demonstrations, unit open houses with static displays, Honor Eagle ceremony, and a memorial ceremony. ![]() Brig. Gen. Kenneth T. Royar and Command Sgt. Maj. James L. Manning lead soldiers from 101st Airborne Division in a 4 mile division run for Week of the Eagles, May. 24 on Fort Campbell, Ky. Week of the Eagles was a tradition started in 1973 as an effort to reinvigorate the sense of community and is still carried on today to also honor those who served. (Sgt.
