Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Saturday, December 7th, 2019, was an absolutely amazing day as the Clarksville Police Union #18 sponsored a Kids Shopping with Cops Extravaganza at Sango Walmart.

The Clarksville Police Union sponsored a holiday shopping spree for over 135 children. There were many heart rending moments as each child made gift selections.

Clarksville Police Union held “Cops and Bobbers”, Saturday

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The annual “Cops and Bobbers” sponsored by the Clarksville Police Union #18 was held on Saturday, May 18th, 2019. The weather was perfect for the event.

There were approximately 50 children who came out and enjoyed an opportunity to fish in the Liberty Park pond. Each of the children were given a fishing pole, tackle, and bait to try out their fishing skills.

Clarksville Police Union Sponsors Over 150 Children for Kids Shopping with Cops Extravaganza

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – It was an absolutely amazing day as the Clarksville Police Union #18 sponsored a Kids Shopping with Cops Extravaganza at Sango Walmart, Saturday, December 8th, 2018.

They sponsored a holiday shopping spree for over 150 children. There were many heart rending moments as each child made gift selections. Some shopped for themselves, others wanted to buy gifts for everyone else except themselves and one insisted on buying something for their teacher.

Clarksville Police Union’s 2nd annual Cops and Bobbers a real success

Clarksville Police UnionClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Union, comprised of local enforcement officers, held their second annual Cops and Bobbers at Liberty Park’s pond.

There were 50 eager fishers on hand ready to do battle and try to outsmart the elusive fish. There were varying degree of success in that endeavor, but everyone seemed have a good time.

All the participants were provided everything needed for their fishing adventure from tackle boxes to bait. There were also snacks and drinks given out to help keep the boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12 fueled and strong.

Clarksville Police UnionClarksville, TN – Since Mission BBQ opened their doors in Clarksville, they have repeatedly shown their willingness to follow their Mission Statement of: “We Are Proudly Serving Those Who Serve”.

Mission BBQ just donated a total of $6792.00 to the Clarksville Police Union and Clarksville Fire Fighters Association which equates to $3396.00 to each non-profit organization.

Clarksville Police Union holds 2017 Christmas with a Cop

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – It was like watching the beginning of a NASCAR race—shoppers were ready, police officers were ready, store employees were ready. Then the flag was waved (not really, the doors were just opened) everyone was off and on their way to do their Christmas with a Cop 2017 shopping.

The Clarksville Police Union sponsored Christmas with a Cop and were able to invite approximately 270 youngsters to be part of this year’s shopping extravaganza.

Clarksville Police held annual “Shop with A Cop” Saturday

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, December 10th, 2016, at 9:00am, the Clarksville Police Union’s “Shop with a Cop” was a great success. Officers took approximately 212 local children (101 last year) from all over Montgomery County shopping.

There were over 50 CPD Officers, CPD employees, Police Union volunteers, and Clarksville Police Academy Alumni (CPAA) volunteers.

2016 Tyler Barrett Memorial Ride and Check Presentation

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Erik Ranallo coordinated the Tyler Barrett Memorial Ride this past Saturday, October 15th, 2016, at 2:30pm. The ride was organized to raise money for the Shop with a Cop Program.

Today, Erik Ranallo presented checks from the ride to the Clarksville Police Department’s Chief Al Ansley and Detective Dennis Honholt, the current Police Union President. They raised just over $3,600.00.

Clarksville Nationals Little League Opening Ceremony, honor Detective Tyler Barrett

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today April 9th at 11:00pm, the Clarksville Nationals Little League had its opening ceremony led by the League President, Jason York.

Today they honored Detective Tyler Barrett with a field memorial sign, a check for “Shop with a Cop,” as well as honoring the Clarksville Police Department and the Police Union with a plaque bearing the inscription, “He left us better than he found us.”

Tyler began his career with the CPD in 1994, and he passed away in November of last year (2015). He was a Detective for the last 11 years of his career.

Clarksville Police Officers deliver Gifts to Family in Need

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday afternoon, December 17th, 2015, Clarksville Police Officers got together with Brandy Marik, Barkers Mill Elementary School’s School Counselor, to take Christmas gifts and groceries to a Clarksville family in need, the Hernandez family.

The same agencies responsible for the Shop with a Cop event were responsible for helping the Hernandez family. Those agencies are the Fraternal Order of Police, the Police Union, the Clarksville Police Academy Alumni (CPAA), APSU, Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS), and the CPD. «Read the rest of this article»
