Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNiceville, FL – No. 17 Tennessee Vols men’s basketball returns to the hardwood for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the VCU Rams at 3:00pm CT in the third-place game at the Emerald Coast Classic. Tipoff is set for 3:00pm CT and can be seen on a free live stream provided by the tournament.

Saturday’s game will be available through the tournament’s web streaming service. Access to the afternoon’s stream can be found here.

The Vols (9-8, 2-3 SEC) have dropped five of their last six games against Ole Miss (10-7, 1-4 SEC) and have also topped the Rebels only once in their last six trips to Oxford, dating to the 2000-01 season.

Tennessee snapped a three-game losing streak in its most recent action, topping Vanderbilt 87-75 in Nashville on Saturday night. Freshman Jordan Bone led a quintet of Vols in double figures, scoring a season-best 23 points and knocking down four 3-pointers.

UT Vols Basketball loses 84-75 to LSU at SEC Tournament

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – The Tennessee Volunteers’ tournament run came to an end Friday with an 84-75 loss to LSU in the quarterfinals of the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament at Bridgestone Arena.

After winning its first two games of the tournament, Tennessee (15-19) could not withstand a late-scoring surge by LSU (19-13).

Tennessee and LSU were neck and neck deep into the second half. Freshman Admiral Schofield hit a jumper to tie the game 59-59 with 5:51 left, but LSU answered with a 10-0 run, capped by 3-pointer by Tim Quarterman with 3:26 on the clock.

UT Vols upset Vanderbilt Commodores 67-65 in SEC Tournament

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – Tennessee dominated the first half and withstood a late Vanderbilt surge to defeat the Commodores, 67-65, on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena and advance to the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.

The Vols (15-18) will next face No. 4 seed LSU (18-13) on Friday in the quarterfinals.

For a moment, No. 5 seed Vanderbilt (19-13) looked like it had sent the game into overtime. However, Wade Baldwin IV’s layup with time expiring was waived off after replays showed the ball still rolling off his fingers with zeros on the clock.
