Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsTuscaloosa, AL – Riding a six-game winning streak, No. 15 Tennessee is set for another tough road game Saturday against Alabama in Coleman Coliseum. The game will tip at 5:00pm CT and will be televised live on SEC Network and streamed online via WatchESPN.

The Vols (18-5, 8-3 SEC) are coming off their first win in Rupp Arena since 2006, beating 24th-ranked Kentucky, 61-59, on Tuesday night. Lamonté Turner was the player of the game, draining the decisive go-ahead three with 26 seconds left in the game. He would finish with a game-high 16 points on four treys. The SEC Sixth Man of the Year candidate has scored in double figures in four straight games and five of the last six, averaging 16.2 ppg during the stretch.

Tennessee (9-3, 0-1 SEC) is looking to bounce back from a tough road loss in overtime at Arkansas with a win over the Tigers, who boast one of the best records in the SEC at 12-1. Jordan Bone, who dropped a season-high 21 points vs. the Razorbacks, has averaged 16.5 ppg the last two games, up from 7.0 ppg through the first 10 contests.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – Seeded ninth, Tennessee heads back to the state capital for the 2017 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday. The Vols meet No. 8 Georgia in the day’s first game at Bridgestone Arena, tipping off at 12:00pm CT on SEC Network.

Tennessee (16-15, 8-10 SEC) heads to the Music City looking to make it five consecutive years with an SEC Tournament victory. Last year, the Vols picked up two wins in Nashville, defeating Auburn in the opening game and Vanderbilt in the second round. UT’s short run came to an end in the quarterfinals with a loss to LSU.

Tennessee Vols rally in second half to beat Alabama Crimson Tide 59-54

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN Grant Williams recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Lew Evans added 13 points, and Tennessee surged in the second half to take a 59-54 win over Alabama in the Vols regular season finale Saturday in Thompson-Boling Arena.

Despite offensive struggles in the first half, Tennessee (16-15, 8-10 SEC) came roaring back outscoring Alabama (17-13, 10-8 SEC) 37-18 in the final period of play. Evans knocked down three of the team’s six second-half 3-pointers.

Williams recorded his fourth double-double of the year. Evans scored 13 points on 4-7 shooting while grabbing five rebounds in his final regular-season game in Thompson-Boling Arena.

After seeing its season-best four-game winning streak snapped Mississippi State last Saturday, Tennessee (14-10, 6-5 SEC) turned in a bounce-back performance on Wednesday night, surging past Ole Miss in the closing minutes to secure a 75-66 victory. The Vols were led by 18 points apiece from senior Robert Hubbs III and freshman Grant Williams.

Admiral Schofield scores 18 in Tennessee Vols win at Auburn Tigers, 87-77

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsAuburn, AL Tennessee used an explosive first half and saw four players finish in double figures as it downed the Auburn Tigers, 87-77, Tuesday night at Auburn Arena. With the victory, the Volunteers extended their win streak to a season-best four games.

It was UT’s third consecutive win over Auburn (14-8, 3-6) dating to last season.

Admiral Schofield paced the Vols (13-9, 5-4 SEC), scoring 18 points in 24 minutes off the bench. Grant Williams scored 17 points — 15 of which came in the first half — before fouling out late in the contest and Jordan Bowden dropped all 15 of his points in the second period. Robert Hubbs III came up a rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Tennessee Vols Basketball beats Kansas State 70-58

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN A trio of double-digit scorers led Tennessee to a 70-58 win over Kansas State at Thompson-Boling Arena on Saturday afternoon in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge Presented by Sonic.

The Vols (12-9, 4-4 SEC) finished their three-game homestand with a perfect record following the wire-to-wire win over the Wildcats (15-6, 4-4 Big 12). UT crashed the boards all game long, out-rebounding Kansas State, 43-29. Kyle Alexander led the way with nine boards to go along with eight points.

Grant Williams posted another strong performance, totaling 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, six rebounds and two assists on the day. Jordan Bowden and Robert Hubbs III were the other Volunteers to eclipse double-digit points, scoring 13 and 10, respectively.

Tennessee Vols loses at Ole Miss Rebels, 80-69

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsOxford, MS Despite three players finishing in double figures the Tennessee Men’s Basketball team suffered an 80-69 setback at the hands of Ole Miss on Tuesday.

After trailing most of the first half, the Vols (9-9, 2-4 SEC) shot out of the gate in the second and raced to a 52-39 lead after Admiral Schofield converted a layup along the baseline at the 15-minute mark. Very little went right for UT following that basket as the homestanding Rebels (11-7, 2-4 SEC) outscored UT 41-17 over the final 15 minutes.
