Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office promotes Five Officers

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) recently held a promotion ceremony for five officers.

MCSO would like to congratulate Carlos Silva on his promotion to Lieutenant; Novelle Flippen, Jeffrey Holland, and Andrew Sparks on their promotion to Sergeant; and Tim Harp’s promotion to Corporal.

Lieutenant Carlos Silva began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in September 2001 as a Jail Deputy. Since then he has worked in Court Security, Patrol, and the Drug Task Force. In 2010 he transferred to the SRO Program and in 2015 he was promoted to Sergeant. Lieutenant Silva brings nearly 18 diverse years of service to his new position as the SRO Lieutenant.

Clarksville Police report Pipe Bomb Located Inside of Garage at Heather Drive Residence

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On December 12th, 2017 around 10:50am, Clarksville Police report emergency responders were called to the 3700 Block of Heather Drive in reference to a possible pipe bomb inside of the residence.

When officers arrived, they located a device which appeared to be a pipe bomb under the steps inside of the garage. Officers cordoned off the residence, evacuated nearby houses, and notified the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad.

Clarksville Police report Suspicious Package found

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, September 18th, 2017 around 6:28pm, Clarksville Police officers responded to a suspicious package at the post office which is listed as 2011 Fort Campbell Boulevard but has also has an entrance on Ringgold Road.

The package was black and had a symbol resembling a missile. There were multiple residences, part of an apartment complex, and a Burger King evacuated.

Clarksville officers, Sheriff’s Deputies and 911 Dispatchers bring Children at the Salvation Army Gifts on Christmas Day

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Between 3:00am and 4:00am this Christmas morning, Clarksville Police Department Officers, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, and 911 Dispatchers gathered $600.00 in cash in 2 hours.

They then went to Walgreens and loaded up on toys to play Santa for children that were staying at the Salvation Army, who wouldn’t have gifts to open.

Law Enforcement agencies to hold Robot Rodeo Saturday, November 7th in Clarksville

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The FBI, Fort Campbell, Nashville International Airport, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Bomb Squads will partner with middle school students on Saturday, November 7th for a Robot Rodeo competition at the Northeast School Campus.

The event kicks off at 9:00am. After opening comments, bomb squads will conduct several demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of their robots. Afterwards each bomb squad will be paired with a middle school and their students for the competition. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Police respond to Suspicious Package

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On May 24th, 2013, at approximately 2:11pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to the area of University Avenue and Commerce Street in reference to a suspicious package, which was a black backpack behind the building.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad responded to the scene and deployed the F6A Robot. The package contained school supplies and attempts are being made to contact the owner to return the property.

Clarksville Police Department reports a Man Attempted to Rob a Store with Gun and Improvised Explosive Device

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On May 12th, 2012, around 9:00pm, Clarksville Police responded to a robbery at a business on the 2700 Block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in which a man had a gun and was fighting with the store manager outside.

When officers arrived, the store employees had already wrestled the gun away from the man and had him pinned on the ground, holding him for Police.

Clarksville Police receive Suspicious Package call that turns out to be Sand in a Suitcase

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On March 16th, 2012, around 9:18, Clarksville Police responded to a suspicious package call at 542 Aurelia Lynn. The resident had went to throw out the trash and noticed a piece of luggage in the trashcan.

It was a hard-shell case that had holes drilled in it, four wires coming out of the holes, and electrical tape around the wires where they came out of the case. The wires ran down into the can and the other ends of the wires were not visible. Suspicious Packages left outside of Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On August 15th, 2011, around 1:41am, officers were called to Walmart, 1680 Fort Campbell Boulevard about two suspicious packages left in the parking lot.

According to witness information, a male and female drove into the lot and started to unload two suitcases in the parking lot, but saw Walmart employees standing outside. The suitcases were then placed back in the car. The male in the car approached the Walmart employees and asked to use a cell phone, but the employees refused to allow him to use one.
