Topic: Natchez Trace Parkway
I went on a group ride over the weekend and there were seven of us. A couple of Harley’s a couple of Gold Wings and a couple of sport bikes. “Crotch rockets” as some like to call them. The sport bikes were guys I had never met. Good guys, but it was our first time riding together. The plan was to get out for a few hours while it was still the cool of the morning, and be done before the heat settled in.

Dodging the Roadkill: Riding Into Fall
SWEET GLORIOUS FALL! Without question, this is my favorite time of the year. It always has been, even before I became a biker. But I never thought the fall would be so fabulous until I started riding. My favorite part of any group ride is when we all gather beforehand to learn the route and get instructions on where we’re going and when we will arrive at our destination. It’s a time to visit with some brothers and sisters I don’t see as often and to “catch up” a little. I love that time before a ride. It’s part of this culture and it’s part of what makes it so special. «Read the rest of this article» Sections: Commentary | No Comments
Dodging the Roadkill: Rattlesnake Saloon
Our ride began in Clarksville, TN and started down Highway 48/13, where we veered down Highway 13 towards Erin, TN, and Waverly, TN. Highway 13 is a beautiful ride through some beautiful Tennessee countryside. Once we cleared through Waverly, we passed the Loretta Lynn Ranch and made our way to Waynesboro, TN. From there we hopped on the Natchez Trace Parkway, which is always a delightful ride. «Read the rest of this article» Sections: Commentary | No Comments
