APSU Women's BasketballEvansville, IN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball senior Arielle Gonzalez-Varner was tabbed as a Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference selection by the league’s coaches and communications directors, announced Tuesday at the annual OVC Basketball Media Day. The Governors were also picked to finish fourth as a team in the league’s preseason poll.

APSU Football’s Kentel Williams, Kyle Anderton named Preseason All-OVC

 

APSU FootballNashville, TN – On Monday, July 22nd, 2019, during OVC Football Media Day, it was announced that Austin Peay State University (APSU) senior running back Kentel Williams and redshirt senior offensive tackle Kyle Anderton were named Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference.

Williams earns his first career Preseason All-OVC selection after being named First-Team All-OVC in 2018 when he led the FCS with a 7.99 yards per carry average.

Five APSU Football players Named to the Preseason All-OVC Team

APSU FootballNashville, TN – A program-record five Austin Peay State University student-athletes have been named to the 2018 Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference Football Team, the league announced Monday.

Senior offensive lineman Kyle Anderton, sophomore quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall, senior offensive lineman Ryan Rockensuess, senior linebacker Gunnar Scholato and junior defensive lineman Jaison Williams were included on the team.

The Austin Peay State University Governors enter the 2018 season with a tremendous amount of momentum after posting one of the greatest turnaround seasons in FBS history in 2017.

APSU Football Governors have big showing at OVC Media Day

APSU FootballNashville, TN – The Ohio Valley Conference’s Football Media Day presented by Farm Bureau Health Plans got a vivid splash of red with the arrival of Austin Peay State University’s JaVaughn Craig and Malik Boynton, Monday.

Craig and Boynton, who wore Governors red blazers to the event, joined head coach Will Healy at the league’s annual media day held at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown.
