This was the second shutout of the season for Saros and was only his second start in two weeks. Saros stopped all 32 shots on goal tonight and was named the first star of the game. Nashville Predators defeat the Washington Capitals 6-3
The Predators had been on a bit of a slide, losing their last six games, and the victory today could be a sign of better things to come. With their mothers in attendance, the Predators had an extra dose of motivation coming into today’s game. Washington got off to a quick start when Michal Kempny took the face off and whipped a wrist shot past Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne for the early 1-0 lead. Nashville Predators fall to the New York Rangers 4-3
It was a back and forth affair with both teams trading punches and the lead throughout the game, but in the end, the Rangers, and their premier goalie, Henrik Lundqvist, leave Nashville with the win. The Predators continue to be hit by the injury bug as Colton Sissons was out of the line-up tonight after being helped off of the ice on Tuesday night against Chicago. Filip Forsberg, Viktor Arvidsson, and P.K Subban have been on the injury list for several weeks, and their absence is beginning to strain this Nashville team. Nashville is still without the services of Filip Forsberg, P.K Subban, and Viktor Arvidsson due to injuries, and their absence is starting to show. The Predators are in the midst of an intense road trip this week with visits to Philadelphia and Boston on the schedule.
