Knoxville, TN – No. 1 Tennessee Vols host the Florida Gators on Saturday for a matchup in front of a sold-out Thompson-Boling Arena.
Tennessee announced plans earlier in the week to “checker” Thompson-Boling Arena for the matchup with its SEC rival. Fans planning to attend the sold-out showdown, which tips off at 3:00pm CT on ESPN, are encouraged to visit CheckerTBA.com to learn whether their seats are in a section designated to wear orange or white.
The Vols (21-1, 9-0 SEC) defeated the Gators last month in Gainesville, 78-67. It was a hard-fought matchup in a tough road environment.

Gainesville, FL – A battle between two of the SEC’s top defenses is set to take place Saturday night, as No. 3 Tennessee goes on the road for the second time this week to face Florida in Exactech Arena/O’Connell Center.
The game will tip at 5:00pm CT and will be televised on ESPN and can also be viewed online through WatchESPN. Fans can listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate to hear Bob Kesling and Bert Bertelkamp describing the action.
Tennessee (13-1, 2-0 SEC) enters the matchup on the heels of an 87-63 win on the road against Missouri.

Dallas, TX – For the first time since 2014, Tennessee men’s basketball is heading to the NCAA Tournament, preparing for a first-round matchup with Wright State on Thursday, March 15th at American Airlines Center. The game tips at 11:40pm CT and will be televised live on truTV.
The No. 3 seeded Volunteers (25-8) claimed a share of the SEC Regular-Season Championship after being picked to finish 13th by select media during the preseason. This year’s squad is one of only four Tennessee teams to ever win 25 games in a single season and will be the 21st UT team to represent the Vols in the Big Dance.

The Volunteers (19-7, 9-5 SEC) have just four games left and each one is equally as important when it comes to a top-four seeding for the SEC Tournament in two weeks. Columbia, MO – Riding a three-game winning streak, the 21st-ranked Tennessee Volunteers are back on the road this week, beginning with a trip to face Missouri at Mizzou Arena on Wednesday night. The Vols (12-4, 3-2 SEC) have picked up their offense since starting SEC play, ranking as the No. 2 scoring attack in the conference with 84.0 ppg through five contests. Grant Williams continues to shine for UT, leading the team in scoring (16.7 ppg) and rebounding (6.7 rpg) this season. The sophomore forward had a historic performance during Tennessee’s win at Vanderbilt last Tuesday, dropping a career-high 37 points on 12-of-20 shooting in 33 minutes, an effort that earned him SEC Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career.

In their most recent action, the Vols (8-6, 1-1 SEC) suffered an 82-78 defeat at the hands of Arkansas on Tuesday night. Robert Hubbs III scored a game-high 21 points and Grant Williams chipped in with his first career double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds), but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Razorbacks, who shot nearly 54 percent from the floor during the second half at Thompson-Boling Arena.
