Economos, of Crystal Lake, IL, posted 61 digs in the Lady Govs three matches, averaging 5.55 digs per set. She recorded a weekend best 25 digs in Austin Peay’s four-set loss to Texas State. Austin Peay (1-2) dominated the three set affair against Alabama State (0-3), trailing only in the early going of each set before piecing together set-deciding runs each time. After losing a first set in which it never led, Austin Peay (0-1) showed its resiliency in the second set. The Lady Govs trailed 5-3 only to watch Alabama surrender consecutive points on errors to tie the set.
