City of Clarksville reopens Edmondson Ferry Intersection

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has reopened the intersection of Edmondson Ferry Road and the U.S. Highway 41A Bypass.

The $1.2 million project enhanced the safety of the intersection by lowering the hill on the south side of the Bypass and adjusting slightly the alignment of the crossing roads.

Clarksville Police Department releases DUI Checkpoint/Saturation Patrols results from August 10th

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On August 10th, 2018 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Clarksville Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a DUI Checkpoint/saturation patrol.

Law Enforcement Officers were looking for impaired drivers and took enforcement action on any other observed violation.

210 charges (81 of those were warnings) were issued.

Clarksville Police releases Saturation Patrol results from February 9th-11th

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit and Patrol Officers had a busy weekend charging 12 people with DUI, February 9th-11th, 2018.

Five were charged after traffic crashes, three were charged when a driver was found asleep or passed out at the wheel on the roadway or drive thru, one driver ran over a curb, two were traffic infractions—speeding and failure to obey traffic signal, and in one incident the driver almost hit several cars.

Clarksville Police releases DUI Checkpoint and Saturation Patrol results from January 26th-27th

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On January 26th, 2018 – January 27th, 2018 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Clarksville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a DUI checkpoint and saturation patrols to find and remove impaired drivers from the streets of Clarksville.

During this time, there were 169 charges issued.

Warfield Boulevard / Dunbar Cave Road Traffic Signal to be Out of Server early Wednesday Morning

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – The traffic signal at Warfield Boulevard and Dunbar Cave Road will be without power from approximately 4:30am until 5:00am on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 according to Clarksville Engineers.

Clarksville Police officers will be on-site to control traffic during this time. Motorists should use extreme caution if traveling through this intersection.

The Traffic Signal at the Warfield Boulevard and Dunbar Cave Road intersection will be without power Wednesday morning, August 2nd.

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Friday, April 7th through Saturday, April 8th, 2017 between the hours of 8:00pm and 4:00am, the Clarksville Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol conducted a DUI Checkpoint and saturation patrol to find and remove impaired drivers from the streets of Clarksville.

During this time, there were 97 vehicles stopped and 149 individuals charged.

City of Clarksville’s request for signals at Edmondson Ferry Road approved by TDOT

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Tennessee officials have given the City of Clarksville a green light on its request to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Edmondson Ferry Road and the U.S. Highway 41A Bypass.

The City has been studying the intersection for years but renewed its efforts in July after Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, City Street Department officials and Tennessee Department of Transportation leaders met with citizens from neighborhoods near the intersection who urged traffic signals be considered.

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrol Statistics from September 2nd & 3rd, 2016

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted impaired driving saturation patrols on September 2nd and 3rd, 2016, which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.

Total number of vehicles through the Checkpoint (400 block of Dover Road) from September 2nd, 2016 11:00pm to September 3rd, 2016 1:00am were 327. Saturation patrols took place in the City of Clarksville from 2:00am until 4:00am.

During this time, there were 238 vehicles stopped and 229 individuals charged.

Total number of vehicles through the Checkpoint (Hwy 48/13) from August 19th, 2016 11:00pm to August 20th, 2016 1:00am were 403.

During this time, there were 257 vehicles stopped and 238 individuals charged.
