Nashville, TN – On February 8th, 2017, Trooper Jeremy Miller of the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Interdiction Plus Team (IPT) stopped a white Toyota Sienna on I-40 eastbound in Hickman County for a traffic violation.
Upon speaking to the driver, Trooper Miller asked for a driver license which the driver stated he did not have. The driver identified himself as Bernado Mateo-Lucas. Trooper Miller continued to question the driver asking how many people were in the van. The driver stated there were four additional people in the vehicle.
Trooper Miller observed six people counting the driver with an additional person lying under a blanket in the floor behind the driver’s seat.

Clarksville Police Department Saturation Patrols in conjunction with Patrol made 20 DUI Arrests

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department conducted saturation patrols which was partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
The saturation patrol special in conjunction with routine patrol operations took 20 DUI offenders off the streets between April 20th-23rd.

There will be increased attention on traffic violations especially speeding, following too closely, and reckless driving.

Saturation patrols nets 17 DUI violations

The Clarksville Police Department has released the results of their Jan. 30 and 31 DUI Checkpoint and saturation patrols (partially funded by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office). The patrol is designed to detect DUI/Impaired drivers.
This patrol yielded the following results: 17 DUIs, 1 Implied Consent, 3 Reckless Driving, 1 Failure to Use Reasonable Care, 22 Speeding, 1 Move Over Law, 13 Insurance Law, 1 Seat Belt, 16 Equipment Violations, 5 Driver License Violations, 5 Revoked/Suspended Driver Licenses, 9 Vehicle Registration, 4 Traffic Signal Violations, 4 Tint, 1 drug Paraphernalia, 1 Simple Possession – Drugs, 1 Public Intoxication, 1 Disorderly Conduct, 1 Unlawful Carrying of a Deadly Weapon and1 T.V.
