The state of Florida and city of Jacksonville are hosting their first-ever SEC women’s tourney. This marks the 31st meeting between these schools, their third bout this season, but the very first time they have played one another in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee enters Thursday’s game with a 75-19 (.806) all-time record in the previous 36 years of the SEC Tournament.

Tennessee (13-15, 6-9 SEC) is coming off an 84-58 loss at the hands of South Carolina on Saturday night in Columbia. Playing without leading scorer Kevin Punter Jr. (22.2 ppg) for the second consecutive game, the Vols were led by 19 points from Devon Baulkman — who hit five threes along the way — and a season-best 16 points from freshman Shembari Phillips. The Atlanta native has now scored in double figures in three of his last five games.

Coming off an impressive home victory over LSU on Saturday, the Vols (13-14, 6-8 SEC) will be chasing their first set of consecutive wins since December. Without the services of leading scorer Kevin Punter Jr. (22.2 ppg), Tennessee pieced together a total team effort en route to an 81-65 victory against the Tigers. Junior Robert Hubbs III posted a team-high 19 points while senior Armani Moore recorded his second double-double in as many games with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The Vols (11-11, 4-5 SEC) are looking to snap a three-game losing streak in Fayetteville and find its first win there since 2009. Tennessee leads the all-time series 19-16, but dropped two of the three meetings between the programs last season. Meanwhile, the Razorbacks (11-11, 4-5 SEC) return home to Bud Walton Arena after suffering an 87-83 defeat at Florida on Wednesday night. Arkansas is 10-3 at home this season, boasting victories over Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and No. 5 Texas A&M.

Saturday’s game was scheduled as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge. It is the second straight year that the Vols have participated, having picked up a 65-64 victory over Kansas State in last year’s edition. Tennessee (10-10, 3-5 SEC) is looking to finish its non-conference slate with an 8-5 record, including its first non-league road win of the season. The Vols dropped to .500 overall with a 63-57 setback at Alabama on Tuesday night.
