What Rev. Marvin Barner Founder of the Ripple Foundation saw in West Akron, Ohio almost 17 years ago he sees in Clarksville TN., a major growth in Gang activities. The sweet little town of Clarksville that is advertised as the answer to the violence and the high cost of living that plague major cities across the country is living in denial. Yes it is a wonderful place to relocate and raise a family and the cost of living index is 89% when compared to other cities at 100% - 114%.
But with growth there comes the baggage of developing metro life. Now beloved residents of Clarksville I know many of you might think the solution to this problem is to find a way to slow down the growth but believe you me if one can obtain a better quality of life starting with the purchase of a home for $100,0000 and that same house else where would have cost you $200, 000, people are going to pack up the family move to that location, then call other family members and recommend they move to Clarksville to.
On July 24, 2007 at the New Providence United Methodist Church we hope to provide an eye opening view of the growth reality in the city of Clarksville and it gang activities. (Read More)
