Dunbar Cave State Park Recycling Your Christmas Trees

Clarksville, TN – The staff and Friends of Dunbar Cave State Park are asking for your family to drop off your Christmas tree so it can be recycled into mulch for the parks trails.

Please drop off your tree, free of all decorations and tinsel, at the park’s parking lot anytime between now and 11:00am, January 5th.

Local boy scout troops have volunteered to prepare the trees for mulching, and Clarksville Department of Electricity will chip the trees into mulch.  In the spring, the Friends of Dunbar Cave will organize a trail mulching day to spread the recycled trees on the trails.

The Friends of Dunbar Cave is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving Clarksville’s only state park.  To join or learn more, please visit our website at https://sites.google.com/site/friendsdunbar/
