Nashville Sounds Eligible for Esurance Home Field Advantage Award

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – As the second half of the season gets underway, Minor League Baseball and Esurance today unveiled the first annual Esurance Home Field Advantage Award. One Minor League Baseball team in each of the 14 leagues will receive the award based on the highest percentage capacity of the ballpark during the 2016 season.

Nashville Sounds fans are encouraged to continue to support the first-place Sounds in this friendly competition by attending games in the home stretch of the regular season. The winning teams will be announced in September and honored at the 2016 Baseball Winter Meetings™ in National Harbor, Maryland, this December.

A celebration for the hometown fans of each winning team will also take place at their respective ballparks at the start of the 2017 season.

“We believe the best fans in Minor League Baseball are right here in the great city of Nashville and the surrounding communities,” said Sounds General Manager Adam Nuse.

“The support throughout the season has been tremendous and we know it will continue over the next six weeks as the Sounds contend for a Pacific Coast League Championship.”

Upcoming promotions include a number of FOX17 post-game fireworks shows presented by Koorsen Fire & Security, a Booster Paintable Bobblehead Giveaway, Barry Zito Bobblehead Giveaway, Elvis Theme Night, and many other fun and exciting promotions at First Tennessee Park.
