“This is a time to reflect on all of our blessings and to celebrate with friends and family,” Haslam said. “Crissy and I wish Tennesseans a safe and happy holiday season and appreciate the honor of serving our citizens.”

This year’s Christmas tree, a Norway spruce standing 27 feet tall, was donated by Bellevue resident, Ed Mascolo.

The tree is decorated in red, silver and blue with Tennessee flags and features an oversized tree topper bow, which was handmade in Tennessee. More than 3,000 LED lights adorn the tree. It is on display on the south side of the State Capitol near the statue of late Sen. Edward Ward Carmack.
