Clarksville, TN – Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 marked the first Youth Christmas Party at the Leap Plaza which featured food, games, recognition awards, guest speakers.
Among those who presented, Quinton Hunter opened for the key note speaker.

“I have learned a lot from my experience and although I hated it at first, I am thankful for it. Before I didn’t really have a plan and now I am going to join the National Guard and go to college to become a medic,” shared Quinton.
Keynote speaker, Comedian Deztin “DJ” Pryor, shared an inspiring message that encouraged youth to follow their dreams. He stressed the importance of staying focused and making positive choices that won’t derail you from making your dream a reality. DJ’s willingness to be transparent with his own failures and subsequent lessons learned intertwined with his flair for comic relief captivated the youth and adults alike.
“I wish an organization like this would have been around when I was younger. I see Leap as an organization willing to reach youth outside the box to help them achieve discover and achieve their dreams. As a comedian passionate about his craft, I enjoy taking center stage and entertaining people, however, I loved this opportunity to give back and potentially impact a group of young dreamers. I feel blessed to have Richard Reason Garrett as a friend and mentor who serves as an example and inspiration for making a vision into a reality.” Commented DJ Pryor.
