Florence, AL – For a second straight year Austin Peay State University’s Jessica Cathey has been selected to the All-Ohio Valley Conference women’s golf team.
That was announced Monday night at the annual OVC Championship banquet, held at Sperry’s Streakhouse in Florence, AL.
This season Cathey again has been APSU’s top performer. Entering OVC tourney play, the sophomore played 24 rounds, 18 counting, while averaging 77.8 strokes per round. She had 15 rounds below 80 in 2013-14, including three below-par rounds.
“She is well-deserving,” APSU coach Sara Robson said. “She has had a pretty consistent year. I am super excited for her. It is something she deserves. It is voted by the rest of the coaches—we nominate but the coaches vote.”
