Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball coach Carrie Daniels has announced that redshirt freshman center Aspriona Gilbert will not return for the 2014-15 season.
“Aspriona elected to depart Austin Peay and attend a junior college closer to home,” said Daniels. “It’s unfortunate things didn’t work out and fans didn’t get a chance to see her talents on the basketball floor. Ultimately, my hope for Aspriona is she continues her rehabilitation and more than anything that she obtains her degree. Our entire staff and program wish her the best.”
