Nashville, TN – The Sounds fell victim to an early deficit and dropped the series opener against the Memphis Redbirds at First Tennessee Park on Monday night, 5-2.

Tampa, FL – Motorists across the country saw increases at the pump last week, but that trend is not likely to continue. The EIA updated its forecast, expecting monthly average gas prices to decline through the end of the year, reaching as low as $2.27 in December.
According to the report, the average price of gasoline from June 1st – August 31st would be $2.60 – the lowest since 2009. The average price through the end of 2015 is forecast to be $2.47. If that forecast holds true, the average price for this year ($2.43) would also be the lowest since 2009.

Clarksville, TN – On September 22nd, 2014, Clarksville Police Officer Melissa Spielhagen responded to a crash on Tiny Town Road. A bicyclist, Vince A. Freeman was struck by an unknown vehicle and died from his injuries. The unknown vehicle left the scene of the collision.
Phyllis L. Taylor, 53 from Clarksville, was charged and arrested on September 24th, 2014 with killing bicyclist Vince A. Freeman, 22-year-old from Clarksville.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Churchill Court in the Windwood subdivision to repair a water pressure relief valve. Area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.
The repair is anticipated to be finished and water restored by approximately 1:00pm.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department began searching for a runaway juvenile early this morning. The runaway juvenile was 12-year-old Joseph William Huffman from the 700 block of Cloud Drive in Clarksville, TN.
Joseph Huffman has been located. There is no further information at this time.

101st Airborne Division Bastogne Soldiers returned to Fort Campbell from Afghanistan Sunday, uncase colors during ceremony
Fort Campbell, KY – Family, friends and fellow Soldiers welcomed home five Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), including the brigade commander, Col. Robert Campbell, and the brigade command sergeant major, William Forro, in a ceremony at the division headquarters building Sunday evening.
