Fort Campbell, KY – By order of the Fort Campbell Provost Marshal, entry onto the listed barricaded roads is prohibited until further notice.
Any traffic, to include vehicular, physical fitness, and pedestrian, is prohibited.
The prohibited areas follow: Ohio Road, Georgia Road, and McNair Road.
Thunder Boulevard and South Group Patrol Road are the only roads available for access to the ASP.
Nashville, TN – As the summer season winds down, college students begin preparations for the fall semester. While some will be first-time students moving into residence halls, many will be moving off-campus and living on their own for the first time.
The Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFMO) urges students and their parents to choose fire-safe off-campus housing and discuss fire safety practices in order to prevent potentially life-threatening situations.
From January 2000 to May 2015, there were 85 fatal fires in U.S. dormitories, fraternities, sororities and off-campus housing, resulting in 118 fatalities.
Dillon Overton Wins Ninth Straight Start with Nashville Sounds
Nashville, TN – Dillon Overton and Bruce Maxwell helped the Nashville Sounds snap a four-game skid with an 8-2 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs in front of 5,604 fans Sunday afternoon at First Tennessee Park.
With the win, Nashville heads into the Triple-A All-Star break with a 49-42 record and on top of the American Southern Division.
Overton was brilliant once again as the left-hander tallied his ninth consecutive win while pitching with Nashville. Since May 17th, Overton has won every game he has taken the mound. He allowed two runs on eight hits over seven innings and improved his record to 10-4 on the season.
Fort Campbell’s Blanchfield Army Community Hospital now has Audio Appointments for Patient Convenience
Fort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) beneficiaries, the primary care Army Medical Homes began offering a limited number of Audio Appointments on weekdays in an effort to improve the delivery of Primary Care.
Audio Appointments allow patients an opportunity to address specific medical concerns with a provider over the phone, at a scheduled time, as opposed to showing up in person for an appointment within their medical home.
Clarksville, TN – Local auditions for the Roxy Regional Theatre’s 2016-2017 season will be held Saturday, July 23rd, beginning at 10:00am.
Auditions, which are for ages 18 and up, are by appointment only. Paying and non-paying roles are available, but actors must be able to attend daytime rehearsals and performances.

Clarksville, TN – The economic data were mostly on the strong side of expectations. Nonfarm payrolls surprised sharply to the upside in June (+287,000), but that followed a very soft payroll figure for May (revised to +11,000).
The disappointing May number is now seen as an anomaly, but then so was the June figure. Large month-to-month swings in payrolls are unusual, but they do happen occasionally.
The three-month average payroll gain was +147,000, slower than in 1Q16 (+196,000) and 2015 (+221,000).

Baghdad, Iraq – When 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) service members started their day Saturday morning, “Cover Down,” part of the 101st Band, was already playing popular music. Shortly after 6:00am, personnel from 101st, sister services and Coalition were getting covered in colors – blue, green, red, orange, pink, purple and yellow.
The USO-sponsored 5K color run started off an early celebration of Independence Day, which began a day of activities for service members deployed in support of Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command – Operation Inherent Resolve, led by the 101st at Forward Operating Base Union III, Baghdad.
As many know, Land Between the Lakes has experienced widespread wind and water damage.
It has been confirmed that the same storm that traveled through Marshall County on Wednesday, July 6th also crossed Land Between the Lakes.
It contained a tornado which touched down near Cravens Bay Campground, traveling along the ground for approximately a quarter mile before it went across Lake Barkley into Trigg County. The high winds impacted trees, open lands and other resources along its path.

Nashville, TN – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and other Middle Tennessee law enforcement agencies into the distribution of fake Percocet pills has resulted in the arrest of a Murfreesboro man.
TBI Special Agents with the Drug Investigation Division joined detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration, in tracking the source of pills that have contributed to multiple drugs overdoses that have occurred in the Murfreesboro area in the past week.
