The White HouseWashington, D.C. – As the United States surpasses 26 million COVID-19 Coronavirus infections, President Joe Biden is taking additional steps today to speed up vaccinations across the country.

The President announced the launch of the Federally Qualified Health Center program that will provide more vaccines for Community Health Centers that are reaching our underserved and most vulnerable communities.

Patchy Light Freezing Rain expected across Clarksville-Montgomery County Late Tonight

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) reports patchy light freezing rain expected for Clarksville-Montgomery County and surrounding counties late Wednesday night. The low tonight will be 32 °F.

Patchy areas of light rain will move across the far northwestern portions of the mid-state overnight. With temperatures expected to drop to just below freezing by sunrise, the light rain will turn to light freezing rain. Amounts should average around a few hundredths of an inch.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices hold Steady

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County has the Third Cheapest Gas Prices in Tennessee

AAANashville, TN – For the first time in four weeks, gas prices across the state held steady instead of increasing. Gas prices in Tennessee, on average, are the same as last week.

The Tennessee Gas Price average is now $2.23 which is nearly 12 cents more than one month ago and nearly four cents more than one year ago.

Tennessee Department of Health reports 901 new cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus in Tennessee, February 9th, 2021

 

Tennessee Department of HealthNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) reports that there have been 630,739 confirmed cases of COVID-19 Coronavirus as of Tuesday, February 9th, 2021. That is an increase of 901 cases from Monday’s 629,838. There have been 8,586 (+50) confirmed deaths in Tennessee because of the virus.

There have been   F O R T Y   F I V E   new cases of the COVID-19 Coronavirus reported in Montgomery County. The total is 16,374. Six of the new cases reported today were in the age group of 5-18 year olds. There have been 188 deaths in Montgomery County due to the virus. There were 98 tests given with 22 positive results for a 22.4 percent positive.

Freezing rain and light ice accumulations are possible beginning Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon.

Potential for freezing rain and some ice accumulation is possible for areas mainly north of I-40 and west of I-65 starting late Wednesday evening through the daytime Thursday.

Montgomery County Health Department’s Vaccination, Testing Site moves to Governor’s Square Mall, Wednesday

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Health Department will move the location of the COVID-19 Coronavirus vaccination and testing site to the former SEARS location at Governor’s Square Mall, located at 2801 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, on February 10th, 2021.

In January 2021, health workers added COVID-19 Coronavirus vaccinations to their workflow at the current Civitan Park site off Bellamy Lane.
