Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – On April 23rd, 1975, a 20-year-old college student named Maggie Warner walked anxiously across the wide lawns of Austin Peay State University (APSU).

The growing campus was on the cusp of major changes – construction was set to begin soon on the Dunn Center basketball arena – and Maggie, a Tullahoma native who’d recently transferred from Motlow State Community College, wanted to help lead the way.

Austin Peay State University alumnus John McGee donates gold coins to commemorate 50th anniversary of his graduation

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) alumnus John McGee certainly knows how to celebrate an anniversary.

During his recent visit to campus for the November 9th, 2019 Homecoming football game, he donated more than $50,000 in gold coins to support his alma mater and commemorate his “Golden Graduate Year,” which is the 50-year anniversary of his graduation from Austin Peay State University in 1969.

Austin Peay State University partners with City of Clarksville to offer BCycles to ASPU Students

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) recently partnered with the City of Clarksville to offer currently enrolled APSU students free annual bike-share memberships with Clarksville BCycle.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new campus BCycle station took place on Thursday, August 30th, 2018 outside the APSU Foy Fitness and Recreation Center.
