Knoxville, TN – No. 25 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team pulled to within two points in the final minute but couldn’t overcome a No. 16/18 Texas A&M team that went 28 of 33 from the free-throw line en route to a 73-71 victory in Thompson-Boling Arena on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Rae Burrell led UT (17-8, 7-5 SEC) with 19 points and seven rebounds in front of a season-best crowd of 12,738. Junior Rennia Davis was also in double figures for the Big Orange, posting 18 points, six assists and five rebounds.

College Station, TX – The Tennessee Lady Vols outscored No. 21/22 Texas A&M 20-17 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome an Aggies team that scored 27 points on nearly 70-percent shooting in the third quarter to send the Lady Vols to a 79-62 setback in Reed Arena.

Knoxville, TN – After playing four in a row at home, the Tennessee Lady Vols (14-7, 3-5 SEC) hits the road for two straight games, starting with a 2:00pm CT (3:00pm ET) matinee vs. Vanderbilt (6-15, 1-7 SEC) in Nashville on Sunday. ESPN2 will carry the 81st meeting between the Lady Vols and Commodores, as they face off on Super Bowl Sunday at historic Memorial Gymnasium.
UT enters the in-state rivalry game on much better footing, having won back-to-back games after a much-publicized six-game losing streak. The Lady Vols took care of LSU last Sunday, 74-65, and handled Florida on Thursday night, 67-50, with both games taking place in Knoxville.
Knoxville, TN – Senior Jaime Nared scored 23 points and No. 12/13 Tennessee allowed just eight points in the fourth quarter in an 82-67 win over No. 14/12 Texas A&M on Thursday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Five players reached double figures for the Lady Vols (18-4, 6-3 SEC), who returned to the win column after dropping three of their previous four matchups. Mercedes Russell recorded 18 points and 13 rebounds to earn her 40th career double-double, while Anastasia Hayes netted 16 points, Rennia Davis scored 11 and Meme Jackson added 10.
#12/13 Tennessee Lady Vols vs. #14/12 Texas A&M

Knoxville, TN – No. 12/13 Tennessee (17-4, 5-3 SEC) will try to get back on the winning track when it plays host to #14/12 Texas A&M (17-5/6-2) on Thursday. An early tipoff time of 5:32pm CT is on tap at Thompson-Boling Arena.
This will mark the second meeting this season between these teams. The (then) #17/16 Aggies held serve at Reed Arena on January 11th, turning back the (then) #6/6 Lady Vols in overtime, 79-76. That setback ended a 15-0 start for Tennessee. Including that contest, the Big Orange women have gone 2-4 since opening the season in perfect fashion.

Knoxville, TN – No. 6/6 Tennessee begins a three-game road swing, as the Lady Vols travel to College Station, Texas, to face No. 17/16 Texas A&M at 6:10pm CT (7:10pm ET) on Thursday, January 11th, 2018.
The Lady Vols’ match-up with Texas A&M is the first of four straight UT contests vs. teams ranked in the AP Top 20. The Lady Vols and Aggies will be meeting for the 11th time overall and third time in College Station during the series.
The Lady Vols will be aiming to go 16-0 for only the fourth occasion in school history and for the first time during the Holly Warlick era. The last time Tennessee began a season 16-0, the Lady Vols extended the streak to 18 games before finally falling during the 2005-06 season en route to a 31-5 overall record and an Elite Eight finish.
