City of Clarksville breaks ground on District 3 Police Precinct

 

$3 million project will provide modern workspace for Clarksville Police

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville leaders broke ground Friday on a new District 3 Police Precinct to provide an expanded modern space to serve the public and improve the effectiveness of officers and detectives.

The new precinct will be built on a 1.5 acre site on International Boulevard just east of Interstate 24/Exit 8 next to Clarksville Fire Rescue Station 12.

Evans (Mike) this Thursday morning to assume the reins as the Executive Director of the Economic Development Council. Evans will step into the role effective immediately.

Shiloh Industries in Clarksville Ready for New Product Production

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development BoardClarksville, TN – Shiloh Industries is gearing up for new product production in Clarksville-Montgomery County’s Corporate Business Park with the first new die cast machine expected to be installed this week.

The company’s soon-to-be local plant manager, Gerald Craycraft, met with the Industrial Development Board this week to announce new improvements and new product lines to Shiloh’s original plans since purchasing Contech in August 2013.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board Receives $212,000 from State for Business Park Development

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development BoardClarksville, TN – State of Tennessee Economic and Community Development (ECD) Commissioner Randy Boyd visited Clarksville Tuesday morning, June 28th to present the Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board (IDB) a check for a little more than $212,000.

The site development grant was awarded to select communities across Tennessee to prepare economic development sites for market.

Governor Bill Haslam, Commissioner Randy Boyd Announce 15 Communities to Receive Site Development Grants

Tennessee State GovernmentNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd have announced that 15 communities will receive $5.7 million in Site Development Grants to prepare economic development sites for market.

The Site Development Grant program is part of the larger Rural Economic Development Fund announced by Haslam and Boyd last October.

Aspire Clarksville to Kickoff new Fundraising Campaign in February

 

Aspire Clarksville FoundationClarksville, TN – Aspire Clarksville, an economic development foundation to benefit Clarksville-Montgomery County, Tennessee, will officially launch its new campaign at a kickoff breakfast in early February.

The new, five-year, campaign aims to raise nearly $3.8 million for local business development, which is anticipated to bring over 3,500 jobs to the area.
