National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2011-2014 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Silverado 2500, Silverado 3500, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Sierra 2500, Sierra 3500, Yukon, Yukon XL and 2011-2013 Cadillac Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500.

An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe and GMC Yukon XL and 2020-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 vehicles.

Certain 2019-2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks are being recalled because seat belt brackets may not be secured to the seat frame in the front-row center seating position.

AAA reports New Vehicle Infotainment Systems Create Increased Distractions Behind the Wheel

 

AAAWashington, D.C. – New vehicle infotainment systems take drivers’ eyes and attention off the road and hands off the wheel for potentially dangerous periods of time, according to new research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

Drivers using in-vehicle technologies like voice-based and touch screen features were visually and mentally distracted for more than 40 seconds when completing tasks like programming navigation or sending a text message.

Clarksville Police are looking for Dillard’s Shoplifting Suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Howard Gillespie is trying to identify a suspect (black male) involved in a Felony Shoplifting incident and is requesting public assistance.

On February 4th, 2016, a CPD Officer responded to a Felony Shoplifting call at Dillard’s on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The incident occurred on February 3rd, 2016 at 8:21pm.

Clarksville Police releases update on Peachers Mill Shooting

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Officers arrested Ojawaine Joemese Marbury in a gray GMC Yukon on Lafayette Road yesterday at 5:48pm. The Yukon had bullet holes on the driver’s side and Marbury was known to not have a valid driver license at the time of the stop.

Marbury was charged with Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Operator License Required, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, Theft of Property, and Convicted Felon In Possession of a Firearm.

Clarksville Police requests Public Assistance identifying two suspects in Burglary on Weatherly Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Rodney Lifsey is currently investigating a Burglary at St Bethlehem Drugs and is requesting public assistance.

On February 1st, 2015 at 9:48pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a Burglary at St. Bethlehem Drugs on Weatherly Drive. The front door of the business had been pried open, and as Officers were clearing the business with the key holder it was discovered that some medication was missing.
