Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – The Tennessee men’s basketball team returns home to Thompson-Boling Arena for its regular-season finale in a Saturday afternoon contest with SEC rival Auburn. Tipoff from Knoxville is set for 11:00am CT on ESPN2.

Prior to tipoff, seniors Lamonte Turner and Jordan Bowden will be honored during UT’s senior day ceremony

Saturday’s game can be seen on ESPN2, online through WatchESPN and on any mobile device through the ESPN App. Fans can access WatchESPN at espn.com/watch. Mike Morgan and Jimmy Dykes will have the call.

Tennessee Men’s Basketball downs Vanderbilt, 65-45

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – A dominant defensive effort and a 21-5 run to begin the second half allowed the Tennessee men’s basketball team to push past Vanderbilt, 66-45, Saturday inside Memorial Gym.

The result improved UT’s record to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in SEC play, while Vanderbilt fell to 8-9 overall and 0-4 in league action.

Senior Jordan Bowden led the Tennessee offense, finishing with 21 points while shooting 7-of-11 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line.

Juniors John Fulkerson and Yves Pons each added 12 points for the Vols.

#6 Tennessee Vols Basketball defeats Eastern Kentucky, 95-67

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 6 Tennessee’s starting five combined for 72 points, fueling the Volunteers to a 95-67 victory over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels Wednesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Four Vols scored in double figures, headlined by a double-double from junior forward Grant Williams. The Charlotte, North Carolina, native posted 21 points, 11 rebounds and five assists and was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. The performance marked Williams’ seventh career double-double.
 
Senior guard Admiral Schofield poured in 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field, while junior point guard Jordan Bone added 14 points and seven assists for the Big Orange.

UT Vols Basketball releases 2018-19 Schedule

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee’s complete 2018-19 men’s basketball schedule has been made public. High-profile non-conference opponents for the Volunteers include Gonzaga, Georgia Tech, Louisville, in-state foe Memphis, Wake Forest and West Virginia. The Big Orange host 18 regular-season contests and one preseason exhibition at Thompson-Boling Arena.

In their fourth season under the direction of reigning SEC Coach of the Year Rick Barnes, the Volunteers play host to multiple regional opponents  in pre-conference action, including Barnes’ alma mater, Lenoir-Rhyne, in the season-opener along with Eastern Kentucky and Samford. Louisiana and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi are also set to visit Thompson-Boling Arena.
