With the score even at 1-1 in the eighth inning, Oklahoma City’s Alex Verdugo lifted a fly ball in the direction of Nashville’s Matt McBride. The ball glanced off the left fielder’s glove and allowed two runners to score on the E-7. Bobby Wahl limited the damage to the two unearned runs, but it was enough for the Dodgers. Justin Masterson (1-0, 2.25) was masterful on the mound for the Dodgers (4-4). The Sounds (3-5) had no answer for the 32-year-old who gave up just two hits in five innings of work and fanned five batters on just 69 pitches. Nashville Sounds split doubleheader with Colorado Springs Sky SoxNashville Sounds Baseball
First up was the continuation of Wednesday’s suspended game, in which the Sounds offense never got going as the visitors lost 6-0 to the Sky Sox.
