APSU Student Athletes claim 19 Ohio Valley Conference Academic Medal of Honor Recipients

 

APSU - Austin Peay State University SportsBrentwood, TN — Austin Peay State University saw 92 student-athletes recognized by the Ohio Valley Conference as part of its annual academic achievement awards, July 25th.

The OVC annually recognizes those student-athletes who excel in the classroom. The league’s Medal of Honor recognizes those student-athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average in their conference-sponsored sport.

Austin Peay Lady Govs Tennis sweeps Lipscomb

 

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Tennis

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay women’s tennis team completed a sweep of the Boulevard with a 7-0 win against Lipscomb, Saturday.

It was the second-straight win for a Lady Govs team that had seen its fair share of struggles through the season’s early going. After gaining their season’s first win, Friday, against Belmont, the Lady Govs rolled past mid-state rival Lipscomb.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Tennis

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team returns to action with a pair of weekend matches against Belmont and Lipscomb, Friday and Saturday.

The weekend kicks off at 2:00pm, Friday, against future Ohio Valley Conference member Belmont before hosting Lipscomb, 11:30am, Saturday following the Govs and Lady Govs free tennis clinic at the Austin Peay Tennis Courts.

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team dropped a 4-3 match, Saturday, to Southern Illinois at the Governors Indoor Tennis Center.

While the young Lady Govs are still working towards their first team win, senior Vanja Tomic continued to play at well at No. 1 singles, winning her fifth-straight match.
