Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds held it close through seven innings of Wednesday’s morning game at Greer Stadium, but a six-spot in the eighth by the visiting Memphis Redbirds proved to be the difference in Nashville’s 7-1 loss.

Tied 1-1 in the 8th inning, the Redbirds loaded the bases for Memphis outfielder Randal Grichuk, 2-for-3, who drew a walk from Donovan Hand to give Memphis the lead.

Hunter Morris Hits First Homer Of Year For Nashville

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The cross-state rival Memphis Redbirds belted three home runs en route to an 8-4 victory over the Nashville Sounds on a chilly Tuesday evening at Greer Stadium.

Nashville (5-7) dropped its seventh game in the last 10 contests and fell to 1-3 in series openers this season.

Catcher Robinzon Diaz went 2-for-3 to extend the Sounds’ longest hitting streak of the young season to six games, while first baseman Hunter Morris homered as part of a 2-for-4 evening for Nashville.

Nashville ‘s Hunter Morris Goes Yard Twice For 4 RBIs

Nashville SoundsMemphis, TN – The Nashville Sounds belted their way to 7-1 victory over the Memphis Redbirds Saturday night at AutoZone Park, highlighted by Hunter Morris’ two-homer game.

Morris saved the fireworks for his final two at-bats, tagging home runs off Memphis reliever Nick Additon in the seventh and eighth innings. His first jack opened the seventh and ended his 0-for-14 slump. Then with two outs in the eighth, Morris slapped a three-run homer to the right-field corner to increase Nashville’s lead to six runs.

Nashville Sounds drop double-header to Memphis Redbirds

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds dropped two games in Sunday afternoon’s twin billing at Greer Stadium, allowing the Memphis Redbirds to tie the four-game series 2-2, losing 1-0 in the opener and 2-1 in the nightcap.

After 13 innings without a run, Nashville finally pushed one across the plate in the seventh inning of game two, when Redbirds pitcher Eric Fornataro balked with Joey Paciorek on third, who was pinch running for catcher Dayton Buller.
