Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) is proud to recognize more than 2,500 students who were named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Spring 2020 semester.
The APSU Governors had 166 student-athletes named to the Dean’s List, which is 60 more than in the previous fall semester, despite all of the obstacles these student-athletes were faced with during the spring semester.
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) student-athletes continued their recent string of success in the classroom, the department announcing its 297 athletes combined to post a 3.292 grade-point average during the Spring 2020 semester.
It is the sixth consecutive semester the APSU athletics department has posted a 3.0 GPA or better and the eighth time in department history. In addition, each of the 15 varsity teams recorded a 3.0 GPA for the second consecutive semester.
“I must commend all of our student-athletes for their accomplishments in the classroom,” said APSU Director of Athletics Gerald Harrison.

Clarksville, TN – The night started with the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball team honoring a trio of seniors in the Dunn Center on Senior Night; the night ended with that same trio of seniors punching their fourth-straight ticket to the Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Championship, as the Governors outlasted Morehead State, 70-65, Thursday.

Charleston, IL – A thrilling ending was befitting of a one-point game that featured 12 lead changes and 13 ties, but in the end, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball team came up just short, as they dropped a heartbreaker in the final seconds of regulation to Eastern Illinois, 73-72, Saturday at Lantz Arena.

Edwardsville, IL – For the second time this season, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) women’s basketball led wire-to-wire in an Education Day game; with six players scoring in double-figures, the Governors rolled to a 79-62 win over SIU Edwardsville, Thursday at the Vadalabene Center, as the Govs posted their third-straight win in Ohio Valley Conference play.
