APSU SoftballConway, AR – With the central part of Arkansas still getting heavy rainfall Saturday morning and into the afternoon, Austin Peay State University’s softball team will have a change to its schedule at the University of Central Arkansas Tournament.

Austin Peay State University Softball plays in Central Arkansas Tournament this weekend

APSU SoftballClarksville, TN – For the first time in the program’s 33-year history, Austin Peay State University’s softball team will play games in the state of Arkansas, as they travel to Conway, AR, to participate in the University of Central Arkansas Tournament.

Weather has already forced changes from the original schedule, with the Governors (1-3) now opening play, 11:30am, Saturday morning versus Kansas, followed by two games on Sunday, at 10:00am and 2:00pm, versus South Dakota State and Louisiana-Monroe respectively.

Instant Peay Play: Brianne Alexander’s quick start helps spark APSU Lady Govs basketball resent surge

 

Legends Bank, Clarksville TNClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s basketball player Brianne Alexander may have had to sit out the first half of the season for the Lady Govs basketball team with an injury, but her return to action has helped spark the team to a strong start in Ohio Valley Conference play.

Alexander, a 6-foot-1 freshman center from Smyrna, TN, missed the first 12 games of the regular season after tearing the meniscus in her knee – with the Lady Govs going 3-9 over that stretch.

APSU Governors Football add Two Central Michigan transfers among six late additions

 

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University head coach Kirby Cannon has gone north to add a couple of familiar faces to the Governors’ 2013 roster.

Running back Tim Phillips, who enjoyed an incredible prep career in Louisville before spending the last four seasons at Central Michigan, and safety Leron Eaddy (pronounced ee-dee), who played for Cannon the past three seasons in the Chippewas secondary, will play their final respective college seasons as Governors.
