Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators just wouldn’t quit against the Dallas Stars on Saturday afternoon, capping off a roaring comeback victory, 5-4.
Mattias Ekholm closed the sale with his overtime winner at 2:27 of the extra frame.
The Predators improve to an 8-0-0 road record for the year, which is the third longest win record to the start of an NHL season since the 2006-2007 season when the Buffalo Sabres won their first 10 games away from home.

Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne was pulled after the Predators found themselves down, 2-0. He made five saves before his exit. Juuse Saros replaced him in net and had 14 saves on the night.
Nothing was working for Nashville tonight, even though they had a fired up. sold out Bridgestone Arena crowd on hand, they just couldn’t score. Connor Hellebuyck made 36 saves in net for the Jets.

While the hockey “experts” continue to second guess head coach Peter Laviolette’s strategy for game five tonight, Winnipeg put on a clinic on how to attack the net and keep the pressure on Predators’ goalie, Pekka RInne. Rinne was pulled in the third period.
Winnipeg got on the board first when Paul Stastny scored at 7:44 of the second period after a Patrik Laine shot was blocked by Rinne but the rebound fell at the feet of Stastny who scored, giving the Jets the early 1-0 lead.
Denver, CO – The Nashville Predators advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a convincing win over the pesky Colorado Avalanche, 5-0. The victory sets up a premier showdown with the Winnipeg Jets, who experts are calling the series to watch.
Nashville came out storming against the Avs early and often in this game. Mattias Ekholm lit the lamp first for the Predators at 7:02 of the first period when his snapshot beat Andrew Hammond for the early 1-0 lead.
Austin Watson made it 2-0 at 10:19 of the first with a wicked wrister after an assist from Colton Sissons and Nick Bonino. The line of Watson, Sissons and Bonino was the highlight of the lineup in this game tonight.
Denver, CO – The Nashville Predators took care of business in the mile high city tonight with a clutch comeback victory over the Colorado Avalanche, 3-2. That sends the series back to Nashville where the Predators can clinch the series with a win.
Horrible officiating dominated this contest tonight, putting Nashville in several penalty situations that didn’t appear to be called against the Avs, frustrating both players and coaches on the Nashville bench.
Denver, CO – The Nashville Predators dug themselves into a deep hole early in this game and were unable to recover as the Colorado Avalanche cut the series lead down to 2-1 with a 5-3 victory tonight at the Pepsi Center.
Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne was pulled in the second period after the Avs scored four goals on fifteen shots to take a commanding lead. Juuse Saros finished the game and held the Avs to one goal.
Colorado jumped all over the Predators from the start and combined with the slow start the Predators have been notorious for, it didn’t bode well for the Preds.

In game one of their opening round Stanley Cup series, Nashville knew that Colorado was fast and talented, but as all teams try to do against Nashville, a quick start and a quick strike is what they aim for.

Nashville Predators win Central Division and Western Conference title with win over Washington Capitals 4-3
Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators set several franchise records tonight with a 4-3 win over the Washington Capitals.
First, they clinched the Central Division and the regular-season Western Conference titles, their first in franchise history.
Nashville also scored their 52nd victory of the season which breaks the old mark of 51 wins back in the 2006-2007 season.
The win, combined with a Boston Bruin loss, clinched the Presidents Trophy for the NHL team with the best record. With one game remaining, Nashville has 115 points.
Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators recovered from last night’s loss to Buffalo with an impressive win against the Tampa Bay Lightning this afternoon, 4-1.
Filip Forsberg led the way with two goals and an assist on the night, and Juuse Saros had 29 saves in net.
Nashville completed their last “back-to-back” series with today’s win, and moves closer to securing first place in the Central Division.
Ryan Johansen started the scoring for the Predators at 7:50 of the first period with a wicked wrist shot that beat Lightning goalie, Andrei Vasilevskiy for the 1-0 lead. Filip Forsberg had the assist.
Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators fell to the visiting Buffalo Sabres at Bridgestone Arena tonight, 7-4. To say this was an embarrassing loss would be an understatement.
Nashville still leads the central division of the Western Conference, but only by five points over Winnipeg, who beat the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.
Buffalo’s Sam Reinhart tipped his hat to the Predators with his hat trick, while Jack Eichel had a career high five assists.
This was a game that the Predators want to quickly forget.
