Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field tream hosts its final home meet – the Austin Peay Invitational – Saturday at Governors Stadium.
The field events begin at 9:00am, while the track events take off at 11:00am. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Three Lady Govs posted personal-bests in the 100-meter dash, last week, led by sophomore Cenitra Hudson. Senior Chiamaka Obi, meanwhile, brought home a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Obi also will likely compete in the 400-meter hurdles again, Saturday.
While the long and triple jump have always been one of Austin Peay’s strengths, the Lady Govs have seen a varied range of distances. Sophomore Leigha Tolliver, along with Hudson, will look for consistency, Saturday.
The 1600-meter relay team has gotten faster with each meet and will again look to improve on a 3:54.70 mark set at the Alabama Relays. That time was a 10-second improvement from the prior meet.
