
Montgomery County, TN – A new Tennessee state law concerning voting begins January 1st, 2012 and the Montgomery County Election Commission has planned a town hall meeting to inform Montgomery County voters of the new law is planned.
Vickie Koelman, Administrator of Elections for Montgomery County invites the public to the Montgomery County Election Commission office, Tuesday, November 1st 2011 from 11:00am-6:00pm to answer questions.
Located at 350 Pageant Lane, in Veteran’s Plaza, registered voters will learn which ID’s can be used, what forms of photo ID are not acceptable, who is exempt and what happens if you do not have a photo ID. All voters in 2012 will be required to present a photo ID.
During the meeting and open house, Koelman and her staff will explain how to obtain a photo ID, and prevent using an ID that is not acceptable. Citizens who are eligible to vote are encouraged to register for the upcoming elections, and learn how to obtain a proper photo ID.
