APSU Senior Art Exhibits Planned this Fall

The APSU Department of Art LogoClarksville, TN – This fall, 15 young artists at Austin Peay State University will present highly original new works during a series of free exhibits in the campus’ Trahern Building.

The students, working in a variety of media from painting to photography to ceramics, are enrolled in Austin Peay’s Senior Thesis Exhibition class, taught by assistant professor of art Paul Collins. The class requires that students present their work in a public setting in order to earn their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

The APSU Department of Art has scheduled these student art exhibitions on the main campus for this fall, in Gallery 108 of the Trahern Building and in the Trahern Gallery (TR202).

The seniors scheduled to present are the following:

  • October 24th-27th: Amanda Blaeuer, Gallery 108. Reception at 5:00pm, October 27th.
  • October 31st-November 3rd: Alice Cheatham, Gallery 108. Reception at 5:00pm, November 3rd.
  • November 7th-10th: Heather Kennedy, Gallery 108. Reception at 5:00pm, November 10th.
  • November 14th-17th: Bridgett Orgain, Gallery 108. Reception at 5:00pm, November 17th.
  • November 28th-December 1st: Alexandra Pickett, Gallery 108. Reception at 5:00pm, December 1st.
  • December 5th-8th: Ashley Scriven, Gallery 108. Reception at 5:00pm, December 8th.
  • December 5th-16th: Visual communication group exhibit featuring graphic design work by Jackie Case, Del Zartner, Andy Blankenship, Matt Mixon, Brian Williams, Shjafia Choudhury, Amber Barry, Carolyn Madison and Nathan Lee, Trahern Gallery. Reception at 5:00pm, December 5th.
