Austin Peay Governors Football’s Devin Stark earns preseason All-America honor

Austin Peay State University GovernorsClarksville, TN – Devin Stark, Austin Peay State University’s senior wide receiver who caught more than 50 passes a year ago, has been named to the 2012 FCS Senior Bowl Preseason All-American Second-Team South Offense.

That was announced late Sunday.

Stark caught 53 passes for 627 yards in 2011 and 11 TDs. The receptions and TDs were the most by a Gov since the 2006 season. The 6-3 Memphis native recently was named to the College Football Performance Awards Watch List at wide receiver.

Comprised by seniors, the FCS Senior Bowl All-American team is presented by the College Football Development League (CDFL), a football organization devoted to providing skill development and game playing opportunities for post high school and post college players between the ages of 18-25.

The CDFL has developed three post-season senior all-star games, including  the “FCS Senior Scout Bowl, this year to be played December 15th in Myrtle Beach, SC. Former Gov offensive lineman James Barker played in the game a year ago.
