Montgomery County, TN – The latest business to become Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified is Frontier Basement Systems. Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers was at the green ribbon cutting to congratulate Frontier Basement Systems on their certification. While there, Bowers inquired about some of the initiatives Frontier Basement Systems’ Layne and Judy Gebers had taken to become “greener” in their business operations.
“Within the office we began recycling, using electronic communications over paper whenever possible, eliminated Styrofoam for reusable cups, and adjusting our thermostats,” Judy explained. “In addition we recycle whatever old materials we can that are taken from a home or business and we now use digital cameras to take photos of before and after projects to email our clients.”
Layne Gebers also shared information about the newest added service to their business, called Dr. Energy Saver, where a specialist from Frontier Basement Systems goes into the home to see how air tight the home is and to see where energy is being lost. Dr. Energy Saver is designed for homeowners who are concerned about how their home uses energy, loses energy and wastes money.
Bowers thanked them for their work and asked the employees if they were doing some of the same things at home that were done in the business. Although a few had been taking some measures before, they are all now doing some type of conservation efforts at home.
“Thank you for your work at your own place of business and for helping others in the community save on energy through your services,” said Bowers.
Frontier Basement Systems provides solutions for services such as leaky basements, basement flooding, damp basements, crawl space vapor barrier installation, and cracked foundations as well as energy savings solutions through their Dr. Energy Saver program.
