Clarksville, TN – A crowd of nearly 2,500 attended Austin Peay’s fifth annual Fall Sports Fan Day, presented by Pepsi, Sunday, at Governors Stadium.
Local fans came out to support Austin Peay’s football team as well as the Lady Govs volleyball men’s and women’s cross country squads at the annual Fall Fan Day. Door prizes consisting of tickets, t-shirts and other Austin Peay merchandise were given away in anticipation of the upcoming season.
Lady Govs soccer, which was on the road during Fan Day and improved to 2-0 with a 2-1 win at Appalachian State, hosts its first home match 7:00pm, Friday, against Arkansas-Little Rock with Lady Govs volleyball traveling to the USF Invitational for four matches to open its regular season, August 30th-31st.
The football Govs’ first season under head coach Kirby Cannon kicks off with a 6:00pm, August 31st, tilt at Tennessee.
