Clarksville, TN – With Austin Peay State University football’s October 10th home opener against Eastern Illinois less than three weeks away, the Marketing and Promotions Department wants to make students, alumni and fans aware of all the events occurring at Governor Stadium in 2013.
All week, LetsGoPeay.com will dispense information on different promotions and appreciation days, continuing with today’s look at Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night on October 10th.
At the October 10th home opening football game against Eastern Illinois, the athletics department will recognize the faculty and staff members that make Austin Peay such a great place to work.
All faculty and staff members will be offered four free tickets to the October 10th game, which will be available online through www.LetsGoPeay.com/SportTix; one registrant will be selected as Austin Peay Employee of the Game and will be honored during the first quarter. Prior to the Game, APSU President Tim Hall will lead the Govs onto the field with the Austin Peay flag in tow.
Also during the first quarter, the Office of Academic Affairs Faculty Award winners will be recognized on the field. These awards include the Distinguished Professor Award, the Richard M. Hawkins Award, the Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Faculty Award for Community Service and the Socrates Award.
Athletics also will recognize Unsung Staff Hero’s from within the Austin Peay community. This will honor those who go unnoticed by the community, demonstrating excellence through their work behind the scenes. To nominate, fill out the attached nomination forms and submit those to Alaric Klinghard (klingharda@apsu.edu).
Throughout the game, other faculty and staff achievements will be recognized on the video board. Athletics will have a faculty/staff hospitality area inside the stadium open to all faculty and staff members as well as their families.
All faculty and staff members hired after January 1st, 2013 will be eligible for two free season tickets to one sport of their choice to include either football, basketball or baseball. Those eligible can fill out the attached form to request tickets. All employees are eligible for discounted season passes by purchasing their tickets through LetsGoPeay.com and that payroll deduction can be used by faculty and staff members to buy their tickets.
