Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUBurlington, IA – The three Austin Peay State University men’s golf freshmen saved their best for last in the final day of the Golfweek Conference Challenge, played at Spirit Hollow Golf Course. But it wasn’t enough to help the Golf Govs escape ninth place.

Clarksville Police ask for assistance in identifying robbery suspect

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Early this morning, September 16th, 2014, at 1:17am, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a Robbery at the Exxon Gas Station on Hwy 76.

The store clerk stated that an unknown white male wearing a gray hoodie and black gym shorts came in the store, attempted to purchase a drink, and then pulled out a small knife and demanded all the money in the register.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to offer Twilight Basketball at Kleeman Community Center

AAA reports 1 in 3 People do not have a Life Insurance Policy

 

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month

AAATampa, FL – September is life insurance awareness month, but not everyone understands the importance of having this vital coverage. According to a recent AAA Consumer Pulse™ survey, one-third of residents (36%) don’t have a life insurance policy.

Austin Peay State University to showcase rare WWI Photographs Exhibition

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University Department of Art and the APSU Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts are excited to present an exhibition of rare German photographs this fall to mark the centennial of the start of World War 1.

German soldier Fritz Einstein took the photographs on three separate fronts during the war. The photos were discovered and extensively restored by Einstein’s son and Nashville resident Frank Einstein.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Carpenter Street Water Outage and Road Closure

 

Tuesday, September 16th, 2014

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Carpenter Street from Ninth Street to Poston Street until approximately 10:30am for water valve replacement work.

Area residents may also experience temporarily water outages or low water pressure during the work.

Carpenter Street is also closed to traffic.

Fort Campbell, KY – Soldiers from the 584th Support Maintenance Company, 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 101st Sustainment Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, conducted Air Assault operations training September 3rd, at Fort Campbell, KY.

The unit worked with aviators from Company B, 6th Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Abn. Div., during the training.
