Jonesboro, AR – It will be close to an Ohio Valley Conference tournament preview when Austin Peay State University participates in the 19th Annual A-State Red Wolves Intercollegiate, to be played Saturday and Sunday, at the RidgePoint Country Club.

The two-day (36 Saturday/18 Sunday) will be played on the par-72, 6,565-yard layout.
The Governors will have a slight lineup change at Arkansas State. Sophomore Erik Hedberg, who finished 18th playing as an individual at the Grub Mart Intercollegiate last week, will play in the No. 5 slot with freshman Justin Arens moving up to No. 4.
The top of the Govs’ lineup will remain the same. Junior Austin Kramer, who finished fourth at the Frub Mart with two impressive under-par rounds, again will be No. 1. Chris Baker, who shot a school-record 61 in the Grub Mart second round while finishing sixth overall, will be No. 2, while senior Tucker Wallace, who ended 23rd at the Grub Mart, again will in the No. 3 spot.
The Govs are coming off a fifth-place finish at the Grub Mart, slipping from third on the final day.
“We are excited to get back on the road this weekend,” APSU coach Robbie Wilson said. “Arkansas State hosts a great event and we look forward to playing in Jonesboro. Our practices have been good and our players are eager to play in another tournament.
“I don’t think anyone was too happy about the way we finished at Jacksonville State but we are learning each week and trying to get better every day. There will be a number of OVC teams there this week so it will be a good challenge to see where we stand at this point in the season.”
