Clarksville, TN – On Wednesday, July 20th, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) Center for Extended and Distance Education will host the 2016 Tennessee Business Tax Seminar and Workshop in the Morgan University Center, room 306 from 8:00am to 4:30pm.Sponsored by APSU and the Tennessee Department of Revenue, this annual event is designed to give accounting professionals up to eight hours of continuing professional education approved for accountants and CPAs.
Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Tennessee Department of Treasury will provide updated information on business taxes, sales and use tax, individual income, inheritance and gift tax, unemployment tax, tangible personal property tax, electronic filling and online services.
Legal staff will provide updates on legislative amendments to the tax laws and recent court cases affecting tax administration. There will also be time for questions and networking with other accounting professionals.
